Potential Education provides engaging, practical training for governors, trustees and local governance committees. Training can be delivered as individual sessions or as part of a wider governance development programme, tailored to the priorities and governance arrangements of your school or trust.
Our focus is on building knowledge and confidence while helping those involved in governance understand how their role translates into effective strategic oversight, challenge and assurance.
Effective governance training needs to reflect the context in which governors and trustees are working. Potential Education can tailor training to the priorities, structures and development needs of individual schools, academies and trusts.
For multi-academy trusts, training can be aligned with the Scheme of Delegation, helping trustees and those involved in local governance understand where responsibilities sit and how effective oversight, challenge and assurance operate across the trust.
Training can be delivered face-to-face or online, as individual sessions or as part of a planned programme of governance development. This flexibility enables schools and trusts to build a training offer around their own priorities, governance calendar and development needs linked to skills audits.

Potential Education training is delivered live, either online or face-to-face. This creates space for governors and trustees to ask questions, explore issues as they arise and discuss how the learning applies within their own governance context.
Rather than simply accessing pre-recorded content, participants have the opportunity to engage directly with the facilitator, test their understanding and learn through discussion with others.
Online delivery provides flexibility for schools and trusts across the country, while face-to-face sessions can support deeper discussion and development within individual boards or groups.
